What can be booked

Currently we have 3 main halls that can be booked, in addition to our offices.

The South Hall can accommodate up to 80 people for an event or up to 100 if a seated audience. Our North Hall is larger and can accommodate up to 130 for an event or up to 150 seated. Both halls have tables and chairs available in addition to a fully fitted kitchen. We have a smaller West Hall for smaller activities, meetings and parties. We will be hosting our community room here soon.

Hive of activity

The Community Centre is a hive of different activities ranging from a playgroup, children’s dance classes, pilates, yoga and zumba sessions. There are also one-off events that change monthly so please keep your eye on our Facebook page to keep up to date.

BOOKING A HALL

We currently have 3 halls which can be booked – the North Hall and the South Hall. Both have a kitchen and WCs and the South Hall even has mirrors and a ballet barre. The smaller West Hall is good for meetings or small classes. The halls have been hired for conferences, weddings, private parties and events such as running meets and keep fit. THE UNDER FIVE PLAYGROUP

A community playgroup providing a safe and secure environment with a high adult/child ratio where children from 2½ to 5 years learn through play. We are Ofsted inspected and a registered charity (no. 802551). Our sessions are Monday to Friday 09:00 to 12:00 in the South Hall, Community Centre. A lunch club runs on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday until 1pm and we run afternoon sessions until 2.45 on Monday and Wednesday and until 2.30 on Thursdays. WOMEN'S INSTITUTE

We are a busy, friendly group who meet at 7.30pm in the South Hall, Village Centre on the second Tuesday of each month. Visitors are always welcome – £2.00. We offer a friendly gathering where we take part in visits, training courses and entertainment. HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY

Staplehurst Horticultural Society is a friendly and welcoming group. We are affiliated to The RHS and Kent Federation of Horticultural Societies. We arrange interesting talks, good gardening advice and very good discounts on a range of seeds and at local nurseries. We meet monthly, as well as organising visits and social events.

Staplehurst Horticultural Society strives to engage with the local community and in particular with local children in order to promote an interest in gardening and rural matters in general. We hold monthly meetings in the Village Centre with illustrated talks, raffles, refreshments etc as well as a number of annual events. Contact Sue de St-Jorre (01580 893922) for more details.

YOGA
